Part II of a two part series looks at student outcome assessments. Commonly used instruments and tools for gathering information about outcomes of educational innovations in the U.S. were implemented to assess students' STEM content knowledge, reasoning skills, and psychological attributes such as attitudes, beliefs, emotional regulation, motivation, and career identity/aspirations.
This compendium provides an overview on the current status of STEM instrumentation commonly being used in the U.S. and provides useful resources to research and evaluation professionals. For each instrument the following information is provided:
€ Constructs/variables that are measured
€ Target audience of the instrument
€ Subject domains assessed
€ Obtaining the instrument
€ Related documents about reliability and validity evidence when possible
